Creating a Portrait
Will it be whimsical? Realistic? A glimpse into an imagined future? No matter the viewpoint of the artist, portraits are so much fun! We'll use soft pastel, oil pastel, colored pencil, and other fun materials to create a masterpiece suitable for framing.
Artists can bring a favorite photo as a guide, or peer into the ArtLab Self-Portrait Launcher (our big classroom mirror!) to find inspiration during our class.
All materials provided . . . no experience necessary.
FAQ:
*This session is geared toward ages 10 and up, but younger artists are also welcome. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
*We'll have aprons handy, but it's best to wear something that can get messy.
*It's important to register in advance so we can prepare the creative space appropriately!
